GELATO ARTIGIANALE
"Gelato Artigianale" translates into Artisan Gelato. The word Artigianale refers to the traditional, authentic way of producing high quality Gelato.
Gelateria D'Ambrosio only uses Organic, Fresh and Natural base ingredients. Our Gelato is hand hade from scratch daily and our production is kept small to assure the very best quality. We do not use additives such as hydrogenated oils, corn syrup, corn syrup solids, preservatives or artificial flavorings.
Our Gelato is churned slowly in order to introduce only the proper amount of air and leave the Gelato creamy and delicious. Our Gelato contains about HALF THE FAT and HALF THE CALORIES of traditional Ice Cream.
In order to make the best possible Gelato we import many ingredients directly from Italy. Our Hazelnuts are from the Langhe Region in Piedmont. Our Pistacchio comes from the small Sicilian town of Bronte near the Etna volcano. Our Almonds come from Apulia. Our Vanilla beans are from Madagascar. We also use exclusively Italian made equipment for our Gelato production.
Our Gelato is produced in the old-fashioned Italian way, bringing unsurpassed quality, richness, nutrition and flavor to Seattle and continuing a tradition started with the Romans 2000 years ago when they would collect Ice from the Vesuvius and Etna volcanoes in order to make a honey-covered ice dessert.
